The Department of Germanic Languages & Literatures proudly presents a week full of fun student-run events about Germany, German culture, and language all over UVa Grounds.  The week offers a wide variety of exciting events for everyone: ranging from a soccer tournament, to delicious German food, fun German language classes open to everyone, lectures on German philosophy and pop culture, study abroad opportunities, a German runway with the latest German fashion, a German movie night, German art, music, and photography, and an interactive exhibition in front of the amphitheater which asks: What is German?

DoDeutsch! takes place across UVa Grounds from:

DoDeutsch at the University of Virginia, October 31 – November 4, 2011!

UVa undergraduates will take part in a series of campus-wide events focusing on the presence of German language and culture at UVa, including:

Sunday, October 30: Soccer Tournament, Carr’s Hill Field, 8 p.m.

Monday, October 31: German Cooking Night at the Lorna Sundberg International Center, 5 – 9 p.m.

Tuesday, November 1: German Game Night at the German House in Bice 206, 7:30-9:30 p.m.

Wednesday, November 2: German Film Screening, 7 – 9 p.m. Nau 101

Thursday, November 3: German Kulturabend at the Solarium Room in the Colonnade Club, 6 – 8 p.m.

Friday, November 4: Gala Dinner at the Garden Room, 7 p.m. By invitation only.
